The focus in the design and development of the downhill concept gear bike was on improving the centre of gravity. The shock absorber has been positioned extremely compact in front of the gear unit. The spring is pulled by a thick-walled carbon dirt-board and does not transmit the forces to the frame, but is propped up on the gear unit. Another novelty is the seat console adjustable by 5°, which features selectable positions and facilitates an extended individual sitting position. Another new feature is the platform concept: the frame can be manufactured with tool changing inserts both for the use of the SR Suntour V-Boxx -FR9 and the 7-speed G-Boxx from Universal Transmission – and next pinion P1.9XR.
